Welcome to my favorite things page! On this page, you will see all of my favorite things broken out by categories. I put this page together with you in mind so that you do not have to search through all of my posts to see all the different things I love.
All of these products with the exception of the coaching services can be found on Amazon. Amazon is my jam which is why I’m an affiliate with Amazon. They bring the best of quality and affordable together. To see a product closer and/or place an order, click on the picture of the product or the description above the picture!
You can always reach out to me at email@example.com if you have questions!
Let’s get started!
I am a Certified Running coach and will provide personalized raining plans for those that purchase the monthly or yearly! The week membership is provided with a generalized training plan. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
General Gym Accessories
These are the newest version of the ones that I personally have and have used for about 2 years now. That’s a good run for a pair of earbuds! I love them, they are lightweight around my neck, connect to my iPhone 6S+ and my husband’s Samsung Galaxy Note simply and good quality sound. Great to have on hand to keep you pumped during your workout.
Every girl needs a good headband to keep the hair out of her eyes. Let’s be honest, hair can be annoying sometimes and my Under Armour headbands have never failed me and they’re surprisingly affordable! As in 11ish bucks!
Running and/or Outdoor
Okay, if you have read more than 2 of my posts, you know how much I love Brooks Shoes. Especially their Pureflow; the Pureflow are my absolute favorites. They’re lightweight, they’re durable, and they run hard like I do. I run hundreds of miles a year and will need to buy shoes approximately twice a year. Doing that math, every six months is when I need to buy running shoes which is AWESOME and I really like how affordable they are. Some running shoes or workout specific shoes can run into the 150-200 dollar range but these are $100 even. Very affordable for good shoes!
If you could have a love affair with socks, these would be them. They are thick and they hug your mid-sole to reduce slipping down into your shoe. I could blather on, but I guarantee you that you will love these socks. If you don’t, my name isn’t Amber. 🙂
Say hello to my running belt, right down to the color. This thing doesn’t look like much but it is the best. I hate hate hate hate for my belt to bounce when I’m running. Okay? It’s the literal worst and when you’re on a 10+ miler, the bounce could bruise you. Okay, maybe I’m dramatic but still. SO! That’s where this belt comes in! My lovely sister in law bought this brand of belt for me a few years ago and I haven’t looked back since. It stretches to fit your phone, your car key and a pack or two of Gu.
It is small and won’t carry much past that, but let’s be honest, you’re not going for a picnic or out for coffee. You’re going for a run and the less you carry the better! Love it. Can’t say it enough. However! If you have an athlete that likes to have more with them than I do, I would recommend the belt below the Spibelt.
Like I said, some people need to be able to carry a bit more with them and that’s okay! We’re all different, it’s what makes the world spin. Anyway! This is a great little belt for those that like to carry water with them or need a bit more space for their belongings that they prefer to carry with them.
I live in the Southern US and it’s fairly warm year round which means shorts are a must. These shorts have built in underwear. If that’s not enough for you to try a pair, I don’t know what is. These shorts do not ride up in the crotchital (yes, it’s a word in the Amber dictionary) area and obviously that’s a huge deal. Plus, in case you missed it a minute ago, BUILT IN UNDERWEAR. Less laundry? Yes, please!
On the opposite end of the warm spectrum is, well, cold. When you’re working out outdoors or out for a good run in cold weather, your ears can get cold really fast, even if it’s not THAT cold! This can cause you to have headaches and ear aches (or maybe that’s just me) these Under Armour Coldgear Infrared Headbands are great for keeping your ears toasty plus your hair out of your face.
CrossFit or Strength Training
I have a basketball injury from my high school glory days which means I’m pretty sure I peaked in 11th grade and I haven’t been cool since. ANYWAY, I had to have knee surgery because of this injury and then when I started lifting heavy I had to do some research on knee sleeves. This was the overwhelming response from my Crossfit Box, these Rehband Knee Sleeves. They’re fantastic.
These wraps are the bomb.com and you wear them when you’re doing things that are hard on your wrists such as hand stand pushups, tricep dips, or dips of any kind, front squats… etc. They’re nice and sturdy to keep your wrists from being injured or overly sore.
So. I don’t mind for my hands to be beat up a little bit. However, Pull ups, kipping, muscle ups, and the like are really rough on the hands and so are some barbells! These Bear grips are awesome for keeping those palms protected. Take care of your hands, they’re the only ones that you have!
Having a mat is crucial to being able to work out effectively at home. Why? Because when you’re doing any type of floor work, whether it be abs or stretches, having that cushion allows you to focus on the work you’re doing rather than the fact that your butt, hip, or back is digging into the floor. My favorite type of mat by BalanceFrom and you can find on Amazon. It’s super thick and it has an awesome little strap that makes for good storage.
Resistance bands are no joke! They will give a killer workout and will help you reach different muscles than you might be able to target with dumb bells! IMPORTANT – remember the COLOR indicates a strength. Example- the blue (shown below) is about the 4-6 lb range so before you order be SURE that you are getting the right strength! 🙂
Now, before you tune me out and decide you don’t want a workout video because you think you’re supposed to jump around in leotards and sweatbands with frizzy permed hair, hear me out!
Workout videos are NOT what they used to be. They have been updated and really are made for those that are looking to make a real difference in the way their body looks.
I am a big fan of Jillian Michaels and I have been for a long time. I recommend getting started with her videos and finding out a groove that you like. There’s also Zumba which is great for at home work outs as well. They are two completely different methods, so choose your flavor and go with what you will enjoy!
Two words that will change the way you stretch and repair your muscles – foam roller. Take it from someone that has lived their entire life with knotted up muscles from playing sports, training, and being a stress ball; the foam roller is like candy to your muscles. Literally can’t say enough good things about it. When I was pregnant, this thing was my bestest best friend. Feel me?
If you’re feeling particularly froggy and want something that goes a little bit deeper than the regular foam roller then check this one out. I love both the regular foam roller and this one as this one gets into those deep trigger points I have trouble with.
The Magic Bullet is super affordable and super good in regards to using it for breakfast smoothies and the like. It’s very sturdy and the serving size is perfection. If you need something with a bigger cup I would say go for the Nutri bullet (see below) it has bigger serving size cups, comes with different size and shape of blades so if you are on a meal plan from a nutritionist or a doctor (or maybe on a self medicated meal plan) and you need it for pureeing of things, Nutri bullet is the way to go!
This thing is quite literally the coolest contraption I have ever used to cook. I cooked a full chicken from frozen solid to ready to eat in one hour and 20 minutes AND I did a Pork Buttn from frozen to fall apart ready for sandwiches pulled pork in 3 hours. Shut your MOUTH right now, I am in heaven. This thing (as you can see from the description) will cook anything from chicken, to rice, to soups… The possibilities are absolutely endless. Get one, you won’t be sorry.
A life changer for our little family and our crazy busy lives was having storage containers that are microwave safe, dishwasher safe, and have different compartments for meals. You can have your lunch ready for the next day simply from putting leftovers from dinner in these containers and you’re out the door.
